THE ASSOCIATION FOR AUSTRALIAN HEAVY METAL

The organisers of Australia’s recent heavy metal music awards, The Association for Australian Heavy Metal (AAHM) have announced that they will now provide high quality bookings for Australian metal bands. 

Following on from the successful ‘Australian Metal Awards’ in which many Australian metal bands were acknowledged and rewarded by the AAHM, the Association’s new booking agency will provide further support to Australia’s wealth of talented and hard working metal bands. 

The AAHM’s first signing to their new roster is Canberra based progressive thrashers TEMPLESTOWE. Fresh from the release of their debut album ‘Cimmerian’, TEMPLESTOWE have proven to be one of the most exciting and promising Australian metal acts.  The deal will see the AAHM handle all TEMPLESTOWE bookings for 2010 and beyond. 

On the new booking agency and partnerships, AAHM Director and co-founder Natalie Meisenhelter comments “We’re very excited to be taking this next step in our mission to recognise and promote great Australian metal. Through this new booking agency we’ll be able to continue our support for hard working and talented bands like Templestowe. We look forward to announcing additional bands on our roster in the upcoming year”.

The AAHM was formed in 2008 and attempts to actively promote Australian heavy metal nationally and provide support and backing to Australian heavy metal bands and artists.
