Bane of Isildur

Like a thundering storm from the south Bane of Isildur bring their brand of 'triumphant war metal' howling out of the cold to meet the world. Born from the ashes of the black metal band Malice, Bane of Isildur is heavily inspired by Nordic mythology and belief yet was still undoubtedly Australian. Obviously inspired by bands that have come before but incredibly original, successfully merging the old aspects of black metal with the newer elements of war metal. Technical and Melodic while remaining full of fury that is so lacking in newer 'melodic death' bands Bane of Isildur has featured members from renowned Aussie metal bands such as Lord, Metal, Dungeon, Malice and Chapel. A whirlwind of consistently successful live performances over an incredibly short period, including 2 international supports (Denial of God and Amon Amarth) and a handful of interstate touring sees the band, inspired by all things heathen and dark, growing from strength to strength. The dying term of 2008 also held the news for Bane of Isildur of an endorsement from long standing Metal guitar constructers “Bc Rich®”. This and other exciting news, soon to be announced, should see the year 2009 to be a massively accomplished year and with the debut EP now almost sold out, a demo and full-length album due for release in 2009 and a commanding live presence Bane of Isildur are set on world domination.
